What “seat” means

A seat is one person who can log in — with full read + write access to everything included in your tier. One person, one seat, one number to budget against. No per-product split. No viewer-vs-full split. The same seat works in the web app, the SolidWorks add-in, and the Office add-in.

Annual discount

Annual pricing comes with a discount over the equivalent month-to-month rate; the exact percentage will be set when final pricing is announced. Month-to-month is fine if you want to ramp up slowly.

Free trial

Trials run 30 days and unlock the full feature surface (excluding the Enterprise-tier compliance package) so you can evaluate end-to-end. No credit card up front.

FAQ

Do I pay per document or per file?

No. Per-seat only. Upload as many drawings, BOMs, and change requests as you want.

Is there a setup fee?

No setup fee on Standard or Professional. Enterprise onboarding includes a guided setup call.

Can I host it myself?

Yes — that’s the default. Thoma is a native Windows installer; you run it on your hardware.

What happens when my trial ends?

Your data stays on your server. The license stops minting new seats; convert to paid and pick up where you left off.

Are there separate viewer or read-only seats?

No — every seat has full read + write access to everything in your tier. We deliberately removed the viewer-vs-full split because complex per-product seat structures hide costs and slow down purchasing decisions. One person, one seat, one number to budget.

Do I need separate seats for the SolidWorks add-in?

No. The same universal seat works in the web app, the SolidWorks add-in, and the Office add-in. As long as your tier includes the add-in (Professional + Enterprise include SolidWorks; all paid tiers include Office), every seat can use it.
